Florida Baby remains in custody of children After Being Shot by Uncle protection

Southwest Florida birthday baby is killed by his uncle, apparently accidentally.

It is expected that baby make a full recovery from his wound.

But, as a result of the incident, the Florida Department of children and family removes a baby care of his mother and placed in protective custody.

Introduces a restriction against Uncle order.

Mother is permitted under supervision of timeshare with baby.

Mother is apparently following the case plan ordered by the Court juvenile dependency of Florida, including taking parenting classes.

There are concerns about the ability of the mother to protect baby if Uncle is released from confinement.

But mother believes that she is ready to resume care for baby.

Mother subjected to an evaluation by a psychologist, but the report is not ready yet.

The Court ordered the mother to attend the mediation of child custody pending report psychologist.

Mother reportedly expected to enter a reason in this case of juvenile dependency but apparently changed idea during a routine status check hearing and are now looking for a trial.
